1. In standby mode, tap or , and then select "Phonebook".
2. If "Phonebook" is displayed as the title, tap .

4. Enter the name or the first character(s) of the desired name, and then tap "OK".
5. Tap or , and select the desired name.
6. Select the desired phone number.
7. To make a call, do one of the following:
a. Go off-hook.

b. Tap "Voice Call" to make a voice call.
c. Tap "Video Call" to make a video call (KX-HDV430 only).

If only Shared Phonebook is permitted, this step is skipped.

The type of call that is established depends on the "Call Mode" setting (KX-HDV430 only).
