4.2 Setting the Password
The telephone password is not set by default. You must register a password (4 digits) before use. You
cannot use the following features without setting a password:
• Phonebook lock (See "3.7.5 Locking/Unlocking the Phonebook".)
Note
• To avoid unauthorized access to this product:
– Set a password that is random and cannot be easily guessed.
– Change the password regularly.
• Make a note of the password so that you will not forget it.
To set
1. In standby mode, tap
or , and then select "Basic Settings".
2. Tap or , and then select "Other Option".
3. Tap "Change Password".
4. Enter a new password (4 digits [0–9]), and then tap "OK".

5. Verify the password by entering it again as in step 4.

If a password is already set, you will need to enter the old password first.
