3.7.1 Storing an Item in the Personal Phonebook
Storing a New Item
1. In standby mode, tap or , and then select "Phonebook".
2. Tap .
The number of remaining entries is displayed.
3. Tap "<Enter Name>".
a. Enter a name (max. 24 characters).
b. Tap "OK".
4. Tap "<Enter Phone No>".
a. Enter the phone number (max. 32 digits).
b. Tap "OK".
Repeat this step to add additional phone number types.
5. Tap "Category Off".

a. Tap or , and then select a category.
b. Tap "OK".
6. Tap of the phone number you want to use as the entry’s default number.

The color of the icon for the selected item changes to .
7. Tap .

This step can be omitted if you do not want to assign a category.

This step can be omitted if you do not want to assign a default number. (The first number entered for an entry will automatically be
assigned as the default number.)

• The valid digits are "0" through "9", " ", " ", " ", "P".
• To enter characters, see "2.7.3 Entering Characters".
Storing an Item Using the Dialing
You can dial a number first and then add it as a phonebook entry.
To add a new entry using the dialing
1. In standby mode, dial a number.
2. Tap "Phonebook".
3. Tap "Create New Item", and then tap "OK".
The number of remaining entries is displayed.
4. Tap "<Enter Name>".
a. Enter a name (max. 24 characters).
b. Tap "OK".
5. Tap "Category Off".
