CALC (Calculation) Records
In CALC mode, the samples are not saved, but the calculated results are. Saving
the CALC results takes two storage spaces.
Records comprising a CALC mode sample are preceded by a message similar
to the following:
UPLINK
The UPLINK function is used with PC Link software (also referred to as the
Data Retrieval Software) to copy data from the HandiLaz Mini to a PC. See
Chapter 6, "Downloading Data to PC".
The data cannot be retrieved unless the particle counter is first placed in
UPLINK mode. If the Data Retrieval Software attempts to download the data
and the unit is not in UPLINK mode, the PC will display an “RS-232 Error.”
To put the unit in UPLINK mode:

Connect the communications cable from the HandiLaz Mini to the PC

From the main menu Select DATA PROCESSING and then press the
ENTER
key.

Select UPLINK and then press the
ENTER
key.
