CRITICAL CLEARANCES
Rear Wheels and Cab
CAUTION: Insufficient clearance between rear tires and body structure could cause damage to the body
during suspension movement. Allow at least 8 inches clearance (See Figure 5-2.)
Normal suspension movement could cause contact between the tires and the body. To prevent this, mount the body so
that the minimum clearance between the top of the tire and the bottom of the body is 8 inches (203 mm). This should be
measured with the body empty. See Figure 5-2.

CAUTION: Maintain adequate clearance between back of cab and the front (leading edge) of mounted
body. See Figure 5-2.
Note:
Be sure to provide maintenance access to battery box and fuel tank fill neck.
The true distance from the centerline of the front axle to the back of the cab is 11 inches for Model 220 (279.4 mm). It is
recommended that the leading edge of the body be mounted a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) behind the cab. The result is a
minimum back–of–cab clearance of 15 inches for Model 220 (381 mm) from the front axle to the leading edge of the
body(A).
