XF Camera System Manual |
Phase One and ALPA provide the ultimate fine art camera system with the
A-series. The only integrated and factory calibrated system of it’s kind.
IQ3 A-series Camera Mode
The IQ3 A-series Camera System consists of an IQ3 A-series Digital Back, an
ALPA TC A-series camera body and a Rodenstock lens. The system is
delivered set by default in the A-series Camera Mode, found in the Digital
Back’s main menu. The A-series Camera Mode provides the system access to
the factory calibrations built for each corresponding lens purchased with the
A-series Camera System.
The A-series Camera System is used in Normal latency using an identical
workflow for any technical camera system, syncing the mechanical lens with
the A-series Digital Back through the provided standard Sync Cable. Please
note the Zero latency mode on the A-series Camera System should not be
used. Please read page 95 for more on how to perform a two-shot release
procedure on a technical camera.
Factory Lens Calibrations (FLC)
Each A-series Camera System is custom built and calibrated to include a
Factory Lens Calibration. This FLC is built for the specific IQ3 A-series Digital
Back and Rodenstock lens that are selected at the time of purchase.
The necessary FLC’s are saved within the IQ3 A-series Digital Back and can be
accessed when changing lenses from the Lens menu of the Digital Back.
Please note that if you are using a lens other than those initially purchased
with the IQ3 A-series Camera System, you must choose “Other” from the Lens
menu.
Sync Cable
The “ALPA Sync Cord Mark II” be connected in three places to the A-series
Camera System, the Rodenstock lens’ flash sync port, the “ALPA Sync Release
Mk II” and to the 8 pin multi-connector port on the left side of the IQ3 A-series
digital back.
