12.Reinstall the starter motor. Torque the upper starter
motor bolt first and then the bottom bolt to
specification. Install the black ground wire and red
starter motor lead.
TORQUE
Starter Motor Bolts / Terminal Nuts:
7 ft-lbs (10 Nm)
13.Reconnect the shift lever cable on the transmission
shift lever. Torque nut to specification.
TORQUE
Shift Cable Fasteners:
13 ft-lbs (18 Nm)
14.Install the four fasteners retaining the intake manifold
to the engine and the one to retain the bottom of the
intake manifold to the transmission bracket.
TORQUE
Intake Manifold Mounting Fasteners:
To Engine: 17 ft-lb (23 Nm)
Lower: 22 ft-lb (30 Nm)
15.Install the two fuel rail mounting fasteners. Torque
fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Fuel Rail Mounting Fasteners
5 ft-lb (7 Nm)
16.Reconnect and properly route the following electrical
components:

Transmission Switch

TMAP

Speed Sensor

Engine Temperature
Sensor
Diff Relay (if equipped)

CPS
17.Install the three fasteners

retaining the harness by
the transmission switch and two fasteners

retaining the taillight harness wires to the frame.
18.Install the three harness clamps
o
on the intake
manifold.
