3.1 About this Modbus pump
Solenoid metering pumps gamma/ X with "Modbus RTU" connec‐
tion differ from standard pumps by the connecting option to a
"Modbus RTU" bus system. A "Modbus RTU" pump gamma/ X can
either be connected to a "Modbus RTU" bus or be used stand-
alone.
Example:
n Measured value-dependent metering of sodium-calcium hypo‐
chlorite into a swimming pool water circuit, where the pump is
controlled by a PLC Programmable Logic Controller in
‘Modbus RTU’ operating mode.
A "Modbus RTU" version of the gamma/ X (identity code feature
"Control option" = M) is intended for integration into a "Modbus
RTU" system.
This document contains general information for the implementation
of the metering pump gamma/ X GMXa into the serial communica‐
tion protocol of the Modbus RTU.
