Connecting to PASM
The Promise Advanced Storage Manager (PASM) software is factory-installed on
the SmartStor system. PASM runs in the browser on your PC. You can access
PASM:
• Directly in your browser. See page 21.
• From SmartNAVI. See page 22.
• Using Bonjour. See page 24.
Browser Support
Choose one of the following browsers to use with PASM:
Finding the SmartStor’s IP Address
To access the SmartStor in your browser, you must know
the SmartStor’s IP address. Use SmartNAVI for this
purpose.
Double-click the SmartNAVI icon in the Windows
application tray or Macintosh Dock (right).
The MSN Window opens with the NAS List displayed.
The IP address of the SmartStor shown in the NAS List.
