in very cold climate, with temperatures between –20° and +5°C the following
requirements are necessary
- Use oils suitable to those temperatures (engine and hydraulic), it is advisable to consult a
lubricaon list for the choice of suitable oils.
- The machine is ed with standard an-freeze at the factory and the operator should check
that the anfreeze is suitable for the environment.
- Wait ve minutes before starng any movements in order to bring the engine up to the right
temperature. Acvate the controls for some minutes in occupied to get the hydraulic
installaon on the right temperature.
3- FUNCTION
3-1 Starng
Aer the preliminary checks, described in the Start Up Check List on page 86, and before
starng the engine, the operator has to posion the accelerator lever at about ¼ of its
range. The starng process can be obtained by inserng the ignion key. Rotate the key
clockwise rst in posion I and then in posion II. The indicaon lights of the oil pressure
and the baery will illuminate. As soon as the engine has started, release the key that
will automacally return in posion I (gure 13). As soon as the engine works, the two
indicaon lights (oil pressure and baery) will switch o and the operator reduces the
revoluons with the accelerang lever. If one of the indicators should sll be illuminated,
the engine must be switched o immediately. This can be done by returning the key to
posion 0 or by pushing the emergency buon.
In this case, always remember to unlock it before you reacvate the engine (by rotang
the buon slowly clockwise). Regarding the starter frame, consult the use and
maintenance manual of the engine (supplied with this manual). Such consultaon is also
advisable before starng the engine (see cold start).
Aer the machine has warmed up appropriately, the operator can increase the number of
revoluons of the engine by moving the acceleraon lever adequately.
