Note: the oil contained in the motor drives is the same one that lubricates the brakes
(represented by the whole gear system inside every drive motor driver). Therefore, when you
check or replace the oil in the drives, you automacally check or replace the oil of the brakes.
Replacement
Let the motor drives turn unl you bring the plugs in one of the conguraons shown in gure
31(2). In both conguraons, the plug-in posion ‘A’ represents the unloading one and must be
set on the maximal side point. The plug-in posion ‘B’ represents the loading one. Equip yourself
with a container of sucient capacity and place it under the plug-in posion ‘A’. Aer that,
unscrew both plugs, let the oil come out completely, and then remount the plug-in posion ‘A’.
Wash the motor drives inside with detergent liquid suitable to the purpose and recommended
by the producer of the lubricant in the following way: put liquid in the motor reducer, then
remount the plug-in posion ‘B’, let the motor drive turn for a couple of minutes on a sustained
speed. Then empty the motor reducer from the detergent liquid again.
Lastly, do the lling up: let the motor drives turn unl the plugs reach one of the conguraons
shown in gure 1 (check level). In both conguraons, the plug-in posion ‘A’ represents the
unloading one and must be set at about 15° under the white line in the middle of the drives
while the plug-in posion ‘B’ represents the loading one. Start with the lling of the drives
through plug ‘B’. And when the oil comes out of plug ‘A’, terminate the lling and screw both
plugs. Aer that, let the drives carry out some turns to eliminate eventual air locks. Re-check
levels. It is beer to use the recommended type of oil: BP ENERGOL GR-XP 320 or equivalent.
Note: In case of level re-establishing, do not mix dierent types of oil, but always use the same
type contained in the tank. It is advisable to do the unloading of the oil when it is hot.
Therefore, it comes out easier. Therefore, it would be beer to carry out this operaon at the
end of a job. For the substuon of the hydraulic oil, it is possible to use a dierent brand,
however it should have, the same characteriscs as the one recommended by the
Manufacturer.
