NOTE
For the determination of the relative
bearing no compass information (via
NMEA interface or compass module) is
required (see. 5.2.8). So, the relative
bearing value is available if an external
compass is out of order.
The digitally shown bearing value is
corresponding to the indication of the
LED-circle.
The reference direction is indicated as
REL (=relative) left of the digital bearing
value.
6.2.1.2.1.2 Reference Direction: (Magnetic) North - MAG
If compass data, basing on magnetic north, are available at
the interface, and / or the internal compass (optional) is
installed, bearing values with reference direction magnetic
north may be put out.
In example of Fig. 37 bearing relations are
shown for the bearing display of Fig. 36.
