10 In the [Utilities] folder, double-click the Terminal icon.
The [Terminal] appears.
11 On the [Terminal] screen, enter the following command:
Enter the following command and check the name of the queue that you want to update:
"printer XXXXXX is idle." will be displayed.
Note
"XXXXXX" is the name of the queue.
12 Enter the following command:
Updating will begin.
You can view the progress of the update on the printer's control panel.
If the update is successful, "Update complete Power Off->On" will appear on the printer's
control panel.
If the update fails, "Update Error Retry update" will appear on the printer's control panel. If
this error message is displayed, perform the update procedure again from the beginning.
13 Check that "After your printer finishes updating the firmware, please reboot your printer." is
displayed on the [Terminal] screen, and then enter the following command:
"logout" will be displayed.
