sum stored in ROM.

PHY IC error
The PHY IC on the controller cannot be correctly recognized.

PHY IC loop-back error
An error occurred during the loop-back test for the PHY IC on the
controller.
- 1. Replace the controller.
Self-diagnostic error 4: NVRAM

One or more of the following
conditions exist:
NVRAM not present.
NVRAM damaged
NVRAM socket damaged
NVRAM defective
Controller board defective
NVRAM backup battery
exhausted
NVRAM socket damaged
Note: In every case, the controller
board must be replaced.

during the self-diagnostic test.

For more details about SC 833, SC834 and other errors, execute SP5990 to print
an SMC report so you can read the error code. The error code is not displayed on
the operation panel. The additional error codes (0F30, 0F31, etc. are listed in the
SMC report.
