6.4.4 LD SAFETY SWITCH
A safety switch turns off when the front cover or the right door is opened. As a
result, a relay on the PSU cuts the power supply (+5V) to the four LD boards. (The
electric circuits run through the EGB and IOB.)
The LD safety switch system interrupts the laser beam circuit when the cover is
open.

Front and Upper Right Cover Switch
The front cover and the right cover are
mechanically connected to the actuator.
The actuator is mechanically connected to
the safety switch. When one of these
covers is opened or closed, the actuator
opens or closes the safety switch.
