2.3.2.Supported Fasteners
In order to meet the safety requirements of operating the Screwdriving Solution, Robotiq deemed appropriate to indicate the
length, typesand diameters that correspond to the specifications of the Solution.
Caution
Please refer to the Screwdriver Vacuum Sleeve Selection section to view the possible combinations between screw type,
screw diameter, screw head, screw drive, screwdriving bit and vacuum sleeve.
Fastener Length Supported

Maximum length of 25 mm (1 in)
l
Minimum length of 6 mm (1/4 in), or 10 mm (3/8 in) for socket head screws
Fastener TypesSupported
The Screwdriving Solution supports two main types of screws:

Machine screws
l
Uniform diameter with flat tip
l
Mainly used for assembly and installation
l
Self-tapping screws
l
Require a pilot/pre-drilled hole
l
In their smaller versions, they are mainly used for plastic and sheet metal enclosuresand lids for electronic components
