8.Maintenance
Maintenance is required after specified usage, measured in cycles or use time (hours).
Following the maintenance interval will ensure:
l
Correct functioning of the Screwdriver and Screw Feeder.
l
Validity of the warranty.
l
Proper lifetime of the Screwdriver and Screw Feeder.
Warning
Unless specified, any repairsdone on the Screwdriver and/or Screw Feeder will be performed by Robotiq.
Caution
Maintenance operationsare for the average normal usage of the Screwdriver and Screw Feeder, the maintenance
intervalsmust be adjusted according to the environmental conditionssuch as:
l
Operating temperature
l
Humidity
l
Presence of chemical(s)
l
Presence of physical objects (debris, scraps, dust, grease etc.)
l
Interaction with operated parts(sharp or rough)
l
Dynamicsof the operation (accelerations)
8.1.Robotiq Screwdriver
Caution
Maintenance operator must be grounded to prevent electrostatic discharge, which could damage the Screwdriver’s
electronic components.
Caution
Alwaysturn off the robot and depressurize the air supply tube before performing any maintenance operation. For more
details about depressurization, please refer to the Depressurizing the SupplyLine section.
