Chapter 2 Power Component Definition and Maintenance
Capacitor Mounting Plate Assembly
If you are replacing an ICAR capacitor with a Shizuki capacitor, you must
assemble and install a mounting plate which raises the capacitor to the
appropriate height. The mounting plate components and hardware are
included in assembly kit PN-687017.
Follow these steps to assemble the Capacitor Mounting Plate.
1. Verify you have the kit contents as listed in Table 5
.
2. Fasten one capacitor mounting plate bracket to the mounting plate using
four M6 bolts (6 N•m[4.4 lb•ft]).
3. Fasten the other capacitor mounting plate bracket.

IMPORTANT Capacitors can weigh as much as 100 kg (220 lb). Use two or more people
to remove a capacitor.
Do NOT move the capacitors using the bushings.
ATTENTION: The porcelain bushings are extremely fragile and any force
applied to the bushings can damage the seal between the bushing and the
body causing potential leaks or chipping.
