Chapter 2 Power Component Definition and Maintenance
1. Isolate and lock out all power to the drive.
2. Note the location of all the cables and mark them accordingly.
3. Remove the four power connections to the terminals, and the single
ground connector from the drive to the capacitor frame, located at the
back top right corner of the capacitor.
4. Use two wrenches to remove the four power connections from the
capacitors.
5. Remove the hardware to remove the brackets from the capacitor.
ATTENTION: To prevent electrical shock, disconnect the main power before
working on the drive. Verify that all circuits are voltage-free using a hot stick
or appropriate voltage-measuring device. Failure to do so may result in
injury or death.
IMPORTANT Depending on your drive configuration, you may need to remove or
install a capacitor mounting plate. See Table 3 on page 45
or Table 4 on
page 45 depending on your existing capacitors.
If replacing Ducati capacitors,
remove this plate
If replacing ICAR capacitors,
there is no mounting plate
Front mounting bracket not shown.
