4. Performing the correction for misalignment in bidirectional printing


When the screen on the left is displayed, press .
To decide a correction value
Select the value to make the upper/lower rectangular gap and overlap smallest. When wavering
between two numbers, select half value.

This machine prints by the bidirectional mode (in which the print head carriage performs printing dur-
ing both its outbound pass and return pass). This printing method is called “Bidirectional Printing”. This
method oers the advantage of being able to shorten printing times, but subtle misalignment occurs
during the outbound and return passes. The procedure to correct this and eliminate misalignment is
“Bidirectional Correction”.
