6.1.3.2 Automatic test process of the PE resistance test
The automatic PE resistance test is normally used for testers within an automatic production line. The two
current connections necessary for the PE test and the two measuring leads (sense leads) are firmly
connected to the test object. The point of connection is usually the industrial socket at the rear panel of the
device, to which a suitable connection box or an adaptor is connected. There are various ways to start the
test process: start switch at the tester, two-hand start, starting signal from the software NetCom XI or an
external control. If a switch-over between various test points is integrated in the GLP2-i/e, they will be
controlled and evaluated successively by the testing device. The individual results are indicated on the
display.
