6.1.2 Programming of the PE resistance test - GLP2-i/e
In the menu of the PE resistance test, the limit value, the time, the current and the voltage are adjusted for
testing according to standards. In addition, general items that are relevant for the PE resistance test, are
configured. The various menu points are explained below.

In addition to freely programmable limit values and testing parameters, the GLP2-i/e allows to program up
to 5 fixed set-value sets in the test program. For this purpose, the menus of the individual test methods
have the fields 1 to 5 . Activating the buttons changes the respective set-value set. The set-value set
that is active has a black background. An individual set value only for this test step is marked with X .
Definition
Here, a definition for this test step can be entered. It is also possible to enter a position, which informs the
operator, at which point the test is to be performed (e.g. PE at the screw of the enclosure).
If the test is done with a test probe, this text appears in a window on the display.
PE limit value
Here, the upper limit value for the PE test is entered. If the limit value is exceeded, this test step is “no go”.
PE test time
Here, the duration of the test in seconds is entered.
PLEASE NOTE:
If 0 seconds are entered, the measuring of the resistance is very fast, but not as accurate.
