PE current
The GLP2-i/e can be equipped with individual options for the test current (10A or 10 – 30A) for the PE
resistance test. For the option with 30A, the test current can be adjusted variably between 10A and 30A.
1. PE test with 10A DB: the maximum current is 10A.
2. PE test with 30A KB: the maximum current is 30A and can be steplessly adjusted between 10A and
30A. It must be considered that the test time must be 1 second max.
3. PE test with 30A DB: the maximum current is 30A. and can be steplessly adjusted between 10A and
30A. Here, the test time can be over 1 second.
4. At some devices, the test current can be adjusted between 1A and 30A.
Test voltage
Here, the no-load voltage of the PE test is entered. The selection 'max' indicates the maximum voltage of
the transformer. Depending on the mains voltage, it is approx. 12V. According to standards, the voltage can
be 6V or 12V.
Test connection
PE direct
Point of connection: The test object is connected to the connection plug with both PE connections. This also
applies to a PE test probe, which is connected to the connection box.
Start: The test process is started automatically or via the touch.
PE test probe
Point of connection: The test is performed with the test probe, which is connected at the front panel.
Start: The test process is started via the switch inside the probe or by the touch with the
probe.
PE touch
off: Deactivated, the test process is started via the switch inside the test probe or
automatically.
on: The test process is started by touching the test point to be tested with the test probe.
Multiple test
The option “Multiple test” allows the GLP2-i/e to test various test points in one test step. If this option is
active, the tester evaluates all test results, but only the largest measured value is indicated.
off: Only one single PE test is done in this step.
on: This test step can have any number of PE tests / the largest measured value is
indicated
Set val.via probe (only for set value 1 )
off: set value 1 can only be changed here in the menu.
on: set value 1 can be adjusted via the special probe. The changeable values are 1.0V,
1.4V, 1.9V, 2.6V, 3.3V or 0.1Ohm, 0.14Ohm, 0.19Ohm, 0.26Ohm, 0.33Ohm.
With go buzzer
After a “go” test, the buzzer gives out a signal.
