Limitations of Parking Assistant Sensors
Parking Assistant sensors have certain limitations,
including but not limited to the following situations:
● The performance of the Parking Assistant sensors
may decrease when exposed to rainy, foggy, sandy,
snowy, extremely hot, or extremely cold weather
conditions.
● When the vehicle is on a steep slope, the Parking
Assistant radar may trigger false alarms.
● After repairing or removing the bumper or exterior
rearview mirror, sensor recalibration is required to
avoid affecting the performance of the Parking
Assistant system. For modifications or repairs, please
visit an authorized dealer. Unauthorized repairs may
lead to a decrease in Parking Assistant sensor
performance.
● The Parking Assistant sensors cannot detect
obstacles with a high ground clearance (such as stairs
above a parking space, a fire hydrant located above a
parking space, the rear end of a truck/trailer, tall poles
or signs above the parking space, etc.).
● The Parking Assistant sensors cannot detect
scenarios with significant drops, such as downward
steps, cliffs, or large potholes.
● The Parking Assistant sensors may not promptly react
to animals, small vehicles (such as bicycles, electric
scooters, motorcycles, tricycles, shopping Vehiclets,
etc.), irregularly shaped vehicles, cyclists, moving
objects crossing or approaching from the front
(pedestrians, animals, vehicles, etc.), or objects on the
side of the vehicle.
● The Parking Assistant sensors may not detect small
objects with low effective reflectivity, such as chains,
wire mesh, sharp corners of pillars, narrow surfaces,
smooth inclines, parking locks, designated parking
signs, curbs, open doors, tables and chairs, thin poles,
stone pillars, flower beds, cluttered objects, etc.
● The Parking Assistant sensors may not recognize
obstacles (such as parking barriers, trees, grass,
chains, ropes, pillars, fences, low obstacles, absorbing
objects, reflective objects, etc.) and may experience
false alarms or miss reporting obstacles. You should
always be aware of your surroundings to avoid
accidents.
