Turn on the main switch and confirm that the resistance across the power line and earth
exceeds the limit of measurement.
Other visual insulation checks
Open the front door of the analysis tube and check that the filament heater and
thermocouple are in the correct positions. Check that the wiring does not contact the
surrounding components.
