2.3 Requirements for skilled persons and operating personnel

Improper handling may result in considerable personal

For this reason:
• All activities should always be performed only by
designated persons.
These operating instructions list the training requirements for the various
elds of activity, as follows:
• Skilled personnel
Due to their specialized training, skills, and experience, as well as
their knowledge of the relevant regulations, such persons are able to
perform tasks delegated to them and detect any potential dangers
independently.
• Electricians
Due to their specialized training, skills, and experience, as well as their
knowledge of the relevant standards and provisions, such persons are
able to perform work on electrical systems and detect any potential
dangers independently.
In Germany, electricians must meet the specications of the BGV
A3 Work Safety Regulations (e.g., Master Electrician). Other relevant
regulations applicable in other countries must be observed.
2.4 Warning symbol on the device
Laser class 2 Distance sensors designated as laser class 2 include the following warning
label.
