7.2 Replacing components
7.2.1 Replacing the 2D LiDAR sensor
Part No. Meaning
1094132 LMS4421R-16000 2D LiDAR sensor with pre-mounted laser protective
cover for the VMS4100
1086802 LMS4521R-16000 2D LiDAR sensor with pre-mounted laser protective
cover for the VMS5100
WARNING
Loss of MID conformity after replacing a component
The 2D LiDAR sensors are part of the legal-for-trade system.
When a component is replaced, the VMS5100 loses its legal-for-trade approval.
After replacing a component, contact the manufacturer.
The manufacturer will arrange for the system to be reverified after the replacement
of a component.

Switch off the device.
Unscrew all connecting cables from the defective device.
Remove the three M6 fixing screws on the rear side of the mounting plate.
NOTE! When loosening the last screw, press the 2D LiDAR sensor against the mount
with one hand to hold the device in place.
Remove the defective 2D LiDAR sensor from the mount. The mounting plate remains
mounted on the frame.
