5.2 Import

Function description

The import area permits data that results from "Robust operation" to be transferred

to SINUMERIK Integrate. "Robust operation" allows data that results from a trigger

event to be temporarily saved on the local hard disk of the control when the

Internet connection is faulty or temporarily unavailable. Data is stored temporarily,

for example, when there is no internet connection to the server due to network

problems or when the internet connection was deliberately deactivated for a longer

time.

There are different ways of transferring local data from the client to the server:

• Once the internet connection has been restored, data is automatically

transferred to the server.

• The user can copy the data to a network drive via a local "Backup" function.

Pressing the "Backup" softkey activates the backup application.
