The following guidelines are prerequisites for using the software package.

3.1.1 Hardware

3.1.2 Software
PLC package 0: basic functions
The current software version must be used with each control.
3.2 Application criteria
3.2.1 Machine configurations
The user can choose from seven machine configurations which determine the structure of the
magazine or/and turret table:
a) Single-slide single-spindle turning machine, i.e. one tool inserted and one turret used as
tool adapter/magazine (Fig. 3.1).
b) Double-slide turning machine, i.e. two tools can be inserted at the same time and two
turrets used as tool adapters/magazines (Fig. 3.2).
c) Double-slide turning machine with background magazine from which replacement tools
can be loaded.
Restriction: Currently possible only if T=ID No. (Fig. 3.3)
d) Machine tool with one chain magazine and one tool inserted.
Example: Turning machine, milling machine (Fig. 3.4)
e) Machine tool with two chain magazines and one tool inserted.
Example: Milling machine with two magazines (Fig. 3.5)
