High voltage may be present in a defective device, which can cause re or an electric shock if
touched. This can result in death and serious injury.
• Connect the device to the functional grounding before you put it into operation.
• The functional grounding terminal on the device must be connected to the functional
grounding of the control cabinet or system in which the device is installed.
• Never operate the device without functional grounding.
• If a device is defective, remove it from operation without delay and label it accordingly.
Before connecting the functional grounding
• T20 screwdriver
• Cable lug for M4
• Functional grounding with minimum cross-section of 2.5 mm

Procedure
1. Clamp the cable lug on the functional grounding.
2. Firmly attach the cable lug to the functional grounding connection on the device using the
M4 thread with the torque of 1 Nm (see part labeled).
3. Connect the functional grounding to the protective conductor connection of the cabinet or
the plant in which the device is installed.
