A distinction is made between cyclic and acyclic services. Time-critical data, such as measured
values and status, are transmitted with cyclic services. The acyclic services allow device
parameters to be queried or changed during operation.
The ULTRAMAT 23 is available with an optional PROFIBUS plug-in card - which can also be
