HIGH PRESSURE PIPES
To Remove
1. Disconnect the flexible hose from air cleaner to
induction manifold.
2. Loosen the high pressure pipe line union nuts
from atomiser side (19 mm A/F) (Fig.E.17)
3. Loosen the high pressure pipe line union nuts
from fuel injection pump side (17 mm A/F).
4. Remove the high pressure pipes.
5. Do not bend the pipe. If required mark the
respective pipes for identification.
Warning: Cover the fuel pump delivery ports and
atomiser ports against the ingress of dirt with
suitable protective caps.
To Ret
1. Clean and check for any crack or damage
2. Fit the high pressure pipe union nut squarely and
evenly ensuring the knurl seat properly.
3. Tighten the FIP side union nut to 25 Nm (18.5 lbf.
ft).
4. Bleed the high pressure pipe line by cranking the
engine and tighten the atomiser side union nut
to 25 Nm (18.5 lbf.ft). (Fig.E.20)
5. Fit the flexible hose from air cleaner to induction
manifold.
6. Start the engine and check for fuel leakage.
