BALANCER SHAFT
To remove
1. Drain the lubricating oil from the sump and remove
the sump.
2. Remove the timing case cover.
3. Remove the flywheel.
4. Remove the blanking screw from balancer shaft rear
bush. (Fig.J.2)
5. Fit a suitable bolt into the bush and screwin the bolt
. Driveout the bush. (Fig.J.3)
6. Loosen and remove the bolts fixing the balancershaft
to crank case.
7. Remove the bearing cap along with the lower
bearing. (Fig.J.4)
8. Tilt and remove the balancer shaft unit carefully.
(Fig.J.5)
9. Remove the upper bearing.
10. Clean and check the balancershaft for any damage
or journal wear.
