To ret the Fuel Injection Pump
Check studs in timing case for tightness.
Replace FIP joint to timing case if found
damaged
Check that the slot in the fuel pump shaft adap-
tor is in line to the dowel in the gear and offer
the pump to the stud on the back of the timing
case.Retain the FIP with one Allen setscrew
and two anged nuts.
After ensuring that the dowel in the fuel pump
driving gear is located to the slot in the fuel
pump shaft, secure the gear to the pump by
the three setscrews and spring washer tak-
ing care not to cant the gear to the pump.

Tighten the three securing nuts. (Fig.F.19)
Ret the inspection cover to the timing case
front cover.
Reconnect the throttle and stop control.
Ret all the fuel pipes to the pump.
Note:
FIP is secured to the engine timing case by
three fasteners. One allen screw with anged
nut is tted from the front of the timing case.
One anged setscrerw and one stud with
anged nut are tted from the outside.
After setting the FIP spill timing Allen screw
needs to be tightened through a recess hole
in FIP gear before tment of inspection cover.
