CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
To remove
1. Remove the fan belt.
2. Lock the flywheel so as to avoid the engine
rotation.
3. Loosen and remove the bolt mounting the pulley
on the crankshaft.
4. Pull the pulley out of crankshaft, if required use
suitable puller as shown.
5. Clean the components and check for damage.
Renew damaged components.
To Ret
1. Lubricate the timing case cover oil seal lip with
clean engine oil.
2. Lubricate the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt
threads.
3. Position the pulley on the crankshaft with key way
aligned.
Note: The pulley should be positioned with the
centre projection facing timing case cover side.
4. Screw the bolt along with washer and tighten
gradually to torque 81 lbf.ft ( 110 Nm).(Fig.H.3)
5. Fit the fan belt and adjust the tension.
OIL FILLER AND BREATHER ASSEMBLY
To Remove
1. Remove the dip stick.
2. Loosen and remove the oil filler securing bolt.
(Fig.H.4)
3. Remove the breather assembly.
Note: The breather assembly is baffle type and is fitted
with oil mist separator. The oil mist separator, separates
the oil and drain back into the sump.
