INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
To Remove
1. Loosen the cap nuts and remove the high pressure
pipes. (If required identify the respective pipes)
2. Disconnect the flexible fuel return pipe from leak
off pipe.
3. Loosen the banjo bolts ( ) securing leak off pipe
to the injector. Remove the banjo bolt and leak off
pipe. (Fig.F.2)
4. Loosen the nut securing the injector on the
cylinder head and remove the injector and washer
(Use 24 mm tubular spanner). (Fig.F.3)
Warning:- Cover the fuel pump delivery ports and
injector ports against the ingress of dirt with suitable
protective caps.
To Fit
1. Align the injector dowel pin with cylinder head
hole slot and insert the injector on to the cylinder
head hole with securing nut, new seal washer in
position. (Fig.F.3)
2. Screw the injector securing nut and tighten to
torque: 55 Nm (40 lbs.ft) (Fig.F.4)
3. Fit the leak off pipe with new washers to injector.
Tighten the banjo bolts.
4. Fit the high pressure pipes.
5. Connect the flexible fuel return pipe to leak off
pipe.
6. Bleed air from high pressure pipes.
7. Start the engine and check for fuel leakage/s,and
performance.
