INSPECTION
Check the front case for cracks and damages, replace if
necessary.
Replace the oil seal if found worn out or damaged / lips
worn.
To Replace the Timing Case Cover
Clean the joining faces.
Position the new joint on to the timing case and applysealant.

Replace the cover taking care not to damage the front
crankshaft oil seal. Ensure the proper alignment of oil pump
drive lug with the flat milled on crankshaft.
4. Centralise the cover around the crankshaft by using
the centralizing tool.
5. Fit the timing case cover fixing screws.
6. Refit the crankshaft pulley.
7. Refit the sump and oil filler pipe.
8. Refit crankshaft pulley, fan belt and adjust fan belt
tension.
9. Refit the oil filler with breather assembly.
10. Refill the lubricating oil.
