5.6 Measuring procedure
Note
The sample tray must be assembled outside of the instrument. This reduces the
contamination of the sample chamber. This applies in particular to powder pellets.
5.6.1 Preparing the measuring procedure
Before starting the measurement, proceed as follows:
1. Check the sample chamber and in the sample tray for contaminations. If
necessary, remove the contamination (see Chapter 6.4 and 6.5).
2. Ensure that the proper sample tray is selected or another sample holder unit
is chosen.
The sample tray defined in the measurement program and the
assembled tray must be the same. Otherwise, the sample will not be
moved to its correct position during the measurement.
3. The samples placed onto the sample tray must not exceed a max. of 1,200 g.
Ensure the weight is evenly distributed.
The maximum sample height must not exceed 45 mm.
4. If necessary, use an adapter for Ø 32 mm sample or a "liquid protect cup".
Adapter for Ø 32 samples "Liquid protect cup"
5. Ensure that only such samples are present on the sample tray that are
measured under the same conditions (air, helium, vacuum).
The measurement is now prepared.
