5.3 Proceed with the start-up test
While switching on the instrument (see Chapter 5.2), you will be prompted to
initiate the safety circuits start-up test. Follow the instructions on the screen.
During the start-up test, the functionality of the safety circuits will be tested
automatically. If the start-up test is not successful, the high-voltage supply of the
X-ray tube cannot be switched on.
5.3.1 Checking the safety circuits on the sample chamber lid
First, the communication connection of the computer will be established with the
instrument:
If the connection is successful, the software will first check the condition of the
safety circuits. The software checks the condition of the sample chamber lid
(open/closed). If the sample chamber lid is closed, you will be prompted to open it:
If the sample chamber was open when the instrument was switched on, this step
will be omitted and the software will skip this procedure.
