7.3 USB OTG FS
7.3.1 Description
The STM32H7B3I-EVAL Evaluation board supports USB OTG full speed communication via the USB Micro-AB
connector CN27 and the USB power switch U29 connected to V
BUS
. The STM32H7B3I-EVAL Evaluation board
can be powered by this USB connection at 5 V DC with 500 mA current limitation.
A green LED LD11 is lit in one of these cases:
Power switch (U29) is ON and STM32H7B3I-EVAL works as a USB host
V
BUS
is powered by another USB host when STM32H7B3I-EVAL works as a USB device.
The red LED LD10 is lit when overcurrent occurs (I
VBUS
superior to 500 mA).
Note: The STM32H7B3I-EVAL board must be powered by an external power supply when using the OTG function.
7.3.2 Operating voltage
The STM32H7B3LIH6QU USB OTG FS interface can only be at 3.3 V on this board.
In host mode, V
BUS
(5 V) is provided by the U29 power switch.
In device mode, V
BUS
(5 V) is provided by an external source connected to CN27.
7.3.3 Limitations and hardware configuration
Limitation with secondary function FDCAN1:
As USB FS DP/DM is shared with FDCAN1 RX/TX, SB36 and SB35 must be removed when using USB
OTG FS in order to avoid any stub.

7.4.1 Description
An 8 GByte (Or more) Micro SD card connected to SDIO1 3.0 port of STM32H7B3LIH6QU is available on the
board. The microSD
card detection is managed by SD_DETECT1 (PF10).
