6.5 Setting the columns
6.5.1 Control system
Set the control system of the mobile column lift as follows:
1. Configure the column lifts in a full circuit as specified in Linking the column lifts.
- The column sequence in this circuit is random; master columns or slave
columns can be set up at all positions; see Linking the column lifts.
- Configure at least one column as the master column in a system.
The maximum number of column lifts in a system is 28.
2. On the master columns:
- Ensure that the main switch is set to 0 (OFF) and then connect the mains
power cable to the correct main power outlet.
- Set the main switch to 1 (ON).
If the circuit has more than one master column, ensure that all other main
switches are set to 1 (ON).
- Ensure that all master columns are connected to the main power supply.
3. Ensure that the emergency shutdown button of all master columns has been
released.
4. Press the [SELECT] button.
The [ALL] light will light up to indicate the following:
- the system operation has been checked to ensure it is functioning correctly,
- the sequence of all columns is stored in the system memory
- the master column in the system has been connected to the mains,
- the height of every column has been saved in the memory,
- the column lifts can now be operated.
All system functions are now available (the default is [ALL] all columns):
- button 3 = all columns will raise,
- button 4 = all columns will lower into the safeguard,
- buttons 6 and 4 = all columns will be lowered.
6.5.2 Pair operation
Setting pair operation (only possible when you have an even number of column
lifts).
1. Select the master columns at one axle to set this function (for example, the front
wheel axle).
2. Press the [SELECT] button until the [PAIR] light starts to flash.
Next, select the other column of "the pair".
