7.10.2 Adjustment of the pallet lifting mechanism
1. With the lever in position 3, move the drawbar up and down. If the adjustment is
correct, the cylinder should now give about 5/16" lift per stroke.
2. Set the lever to position 2 and move the drawbar up and down; the cylinder will
now not lift if the setting is correct.
3. If the cylinder lifts, loosen nut 1 and turn the adjusting screw clockwise.
4. If the cylinder sinks down, turn the adjusting screw anticlockwise until the cylinder
no longer sinks. Raise the cylinder to the top position and set the lever to
position 1; the cylinder should now be lowered.
5. If it does not lower, or only does so slowly, tighten the adjusting screw a little.
6. Repeat these steps until the movements at each lever position are correct.
7. Once the adjustments are correct, re-tighten nut 1.
