Safe working load (= max. permissible weight of patients, mattress and
all accessories attached)
Maximum weight of occupant (= max. permissible weight of occupant;
this is dependent on the total weight of all the accessories attached and
is always less than the safe working load)

Weight: 40 kg; body mass index “BMI”: 17
Only use mattresses that are approved by the manufacturer.
Lock the hand control if the patient could be at risk due to inadvertent
electric adjustments
