4.5.4 Removal/installation of the safety side (2) and (6)
The removal/installation of the full-length (2) or combined (6) safety sides is
necessary if the integrated bed extension (optional) is to be pulled out.
• To avoid any injuries, removal work may be carried out only when the bed
is unoccupied.
• The safety side bars must be replaced with longer bars.
4.5.4.1 Removing combined safety sides
Only the foot-end bars are removed and replaced with longer bars.
Raise the foot-end bars at an
angle (see chapter 4.5.3 for
instructions).
Press the orange release
button 1 in the safety side
guide at the foot end
downwards with your finger
and lift out the top bar.
Repeat step 2 at the other end
of the bar.
Repeat steps 2
and 3 for the bottom bar.
