2.3.5 Special electrical equipment (optional)
- Electrical setting of Trendelenburg position: An external operating device (handset) allows
medical staff to place the resident in an emergency position whenever necessary.
- LED reading light: Energy-saving, no hazardous heating as with conventional lamps, resistant to
jolts and vibrations; approx. 50,000-hour lifetime of the LED bulb.
- Rechargeable battery for unrestricted electric emergency operation with full lifting capacity for
electric adjustments if a mains connection is not available: can be supplied ready integrated or can
be easily retrofitted for temporary use.
- Discreet LED night light under the bed provides orientation for the resident and prevents falls
from occurring at night.
2.3.6 Special mechanical equipment (optional)
– Mattress base 200 x 80 cm and 200 x 100 cm, in four sections
– Combined safety side (6): These combine the advantages of the familiar full-length and split safety
sides and provide maximum protection and flexibility in use. Can be quickly assembled or removed
without tools.
– Split safety sides on both sides (D): Our 2-stage telescopic safety sides can be adjusted across
a range of settings to suit individual needs and can be quickly assembled or removed without tools.
– Removable head and footboards: With Vario Safe system, split safety side and without safety
side, both the head and footboard can be quickly removed to provide easier access to the resident.
– Eight castors: With Libra – access Plus variant, lockable in pairs
– Thanks to its deep venting slits, the removable polypropylene hygiene mattress base is also
highly breathable. It can be easily placed on the mattress base and removed. It is also easy to care
for and can be cleaned with conventional cleaning agents.
– Removable comfort mattress base comprises 50 individual spring elements. These elements are
designed to mould themselves closely to the shape of the body and help to ventilate the mattress.
Their flexibility also ensures that the pressure is optimally distributed. The comfort mattress base
also significantly contributes to preventing pressure ulcers.
– Adaptable bed extension, extends the bed by approx. 10 cm or approx. 20 cm.
If full-length or combined safety sides are used, longer safety side bars must be fitted. In this case,
please consult our sales department (see chapter 6.4)
– Pillow holder, for attaching at the foot end; can be pulled out from under the mattress base
– Wall deflection roller effective in horizontal and vertical directions please observe (Please note:
Wall deflection rollers are fitted to the head and footboard. If the head and/or footboard are
removed (optional for Vario Safe and split safety sides), there is no longer any protection for the
bed and walls).
– Wall spacers, on the head end + sides; prevent damage to walls and on-site equipment when the
height of the bed is adjusted.
