5.4 Operating the gearbox
Changing gear
By rotating the gear lever clockwise or counter clockwise the correct gear can be chosen. To make shifting easier
it’s recommended to use the ‘JOG’ function.
Jog function
To make shifting gears easier, the machine is fitted with a JOG function. In manual mode the machine will by
pressing the jog button rotate the chuck slowly 5 seconds clockwise and 5 seconds counter clockwise.
Never change gear when the spindle is rotating unless this is controlled by the JOG
function.
During usage of the JOG function the door safety switches (door interlock and
chuckguard) will be overruled. The machine operator is responsible for safe and correct
use of the JOG function
