Motor overheats
• Motor axle bend or damaged
• Replace motor
• Serpentine belt overtightened
• Adjust belt tension
• Bearings not lubricated properly
• Lubricate bearings, check lubrication system
• Bearings worn
• Replace motor bearings

• Lower feed rate or cutting speed
• Motor voltage too high
• Check voltage on phases
Spindle bearings overheat
• Oil level too low
• Refill oil
• Wrong oil viscosity
• Service oil with oil of correct specifications
• Oil is contaminated

• Oil feed tube to main bearings blocked or broken
• Check oil feed to every bearing
• Main bearing worn
• Replace bearings

• Drain plug loose
• Tighten drain plug with new copper ring
• Sheared gearbox
• Repair gear box, follow welding instructions
• Top cover loose
• Tighten top cover, replace gasket
