8 Decommissioning the machine
If (temporary) decommissioning of the machine is required the following steps are recommended:
- Remove all chips of the machine
- Remove all coolant liquids of the machine
- Clean all slide ways and the cross slide
- Protect the below described parts by using anti corrosion spray:
o Guide ways
o Cross slide
o Ball screw
o Main spindle (incl. chuck)
o Quill tailstock
- If transportation of the machine is not necessary it’s recommended to close the machine doors to avoid
pollution of the machine parts.
