Insert
the
valves,
with
their
stems
coated
with
(SUZUKI
MOLY
PASTE) all around and along
the
full
stem
length
without
any
break.
Similarly
oil
the
lip
of
the
stem
seal.

I A CAUTION I
When
inserting
each
valve,
take
care
not
to
damage
the
lip
of
the
stem
seal.
Install
the
valve springs, making sure
that
the
close-pitch
end
CD
of
each spring goes in
first
to
rest
on
the
head.
The coil
pitch
of
both
inner and
outer
springs
vary:
the
pitch
decreases
from
top
to
bottom,
as
shown
in
the
il-
lustration.
Put on
the
valve spring retainer, and using
the
valve lifter,
press
down
the
springs,
fit
the
cotter
halves
to
the
stem
end, and release
the
lifter
to
allow
the
cotter
@
to
wedge
in
between
retainer and
stem.
Be
sure
that
the
rounded
lip
@
of
the
cotter
fits
snugly
into
the
groove
@ in
the
stem
end.
