Fuel Pump Assembly Removal and Installation

Removal
WARNING
!
• Spilled gasoline should be wiped off
immediately.
• Keep away from fire or spark.
• Work in a well-ventilated area.
1) Remove the fuel tank. Refer to “Fuel Tank Removal
and Installation (Page 1G-8)”.
2) Remove the fuel pump retainer (1) with the special
tool.
Special tool
(A): 09941–51012 (Ring locknut wrench)
3) Remove the fuel pump assembly (2).
Installation
Install the fuel pump assembly in the reverse order of
removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Install the fuel pump gasket (1).
CAUTION
!
If there are wear or damage, replace the
gasket (1) with a new one.
• Align the fuel pump nipple (2) with alignment mark “A”
on the fuel tank.
• Tighten the fuel pump retainer with the special tool to
the specified torque.
Special tool
(A): 09941–51012 (Ring locknut wrench)
Tightening torque
Fuel pump retainer: 35 N·m (3.5 kgf-m, 25.5 lbf-ft)
